AI assistants
The documentation is written so that an AI assistant can work with it: short pages, tables of options, examples to copy, and explicit rules and limits.
Documentation in the package
Section titled “Documentation in the package”From version 0.6 the Composer package contains the documentation as Markdown, exactly for the installed version:
vendor/rakoitde/anvil/docs/src/content/docs/An assistant searches these pages and reads the ones it needs. The site project and the architecture decision records are not part of the package.
AGENTS.md
Section titled “AGENTS.md”Applications created from the AppStarter contain an
AGENTS.md: what Anvil is, where the documentation lies, the rules of the
application (only UUIDs leave the server, deny by default, tenants, escaping
and Content Security Policy, no secrets in the repository), the generators and
composer ci before finishing. CLAUDE.md refers to it for Claude Code.
Adapt both files when your application has rules of its own.
